Privacy Policy
SwoyeFlabs ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile applications and services.
Last updated: August 10, 2026
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information
We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, including:
- Name and email address (when you contact us or create an account)
- Profile information and preferences
- Communications with us
- Feedback and reviews
1.2 Photos and Face Data (AI Try-On Feature)
Certain applications offer an AI Try-On feature that lets you upload a photo of yourself to preview how a product, outfit, or effect would look on you. When you choose to use this feature, we collect:
- The photo you select or capture and voluntarily submit for processing
- Facial and body positioning data (e.g., outlines or landmarks) that our AI models may transiently derive from that photo solely to place the garment or effect correctly in the generated image — this positioning data is not a stored faceprint and is not used for facial recognition
- The generated try-on image produced from your photo
This feature is entirely optional. We only access your camera or photo library, and only process a photo, after you affirmatively choose to use the feature and grant the relevant device permission. See Section 3 below for how this data is processed, retained, and controlled.
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
When you use our applications, we automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
- Usage data (app features used, time spent, performance data)
- Log data (IP address, browser type, access times)
- Crash reports and error logs
- Analytics data to improve app performance
1.4 Third-Party Services
Our applications may integrate with third-party services that collect information:
- Google Analytics for app usage analytics
- Firebase for crash reporting and performance monitoring
- Advertising networks (if applicable)
- Social media platforms (when you choose to share content)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our applications and services
- Generate your AI Try-On result — photos submitted to this feature are used only to render the requested try-on preview and are not used for any other purpose
- Personalize your experience and deliver relevant content
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Send you updates, security alerts, and administrative messages
- Analyze usage patterns to enhance app functionality
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
3. Face and Photo Data: Processing, Retention, and Your Control
Because photos and face data are sensitive, we apply extra safeguards to how the AI Try-On feature handles them, in addition to the general practices described elsewhere in this Policy:
- Purpose limitation: Your photo, and any facial/body positioning data our AI provider may transiently derive from it, are used ONLY to generate the try-on image you requested. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to producing your result.
- No facial recognition or identification: We do NOT use facial recognition, and we do not identify, verify, or re-identify you or anyone else. We do not build or maintain any biometric database, faceprint, or face-recognition profile — the positioning data described above exists only transiently, for the duration of generating your result.
- Where processing happens: Your photo is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our servers, or to the servers of a processing partner acting on our behalf under a data processing agreement, solely to generate your try-on result.
- Retention: The submitted photo, any transiently derived positioning data, and the generated try-on image are deleted immediately after the result is returned to your device. None of this data is retained on our servers.
- No AI model training on your identity: We do not use your photo or face data to train, fine-tune, or improve machine learning models in a way that stores or reproduces your likeness, unless you separately and explicitly opt in.
- No sale or unrelated sharing: We do not sell your photos or face data, and we do not share them with advertisers or data brokers. We only share this data with the processing partners strictly necessary to generate your try-on result, as described above.
- Your control: Granting camera or photo library access is always optional and can be withdrawn at any time in your device Settings. You may decline to use the AI Try-On feature entirely. If you have questions about a specific submission, you may contact us at [email protected].
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our applications, including the infrastructure and AI processing partners used to generate AI Try-On results
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government request
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
- Safety and Security: To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users
- Consent: With your explicit consent for specific purposes
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need your information, we will securely delete or anonymize it. Photos and face data submitted to the AI Try-On feature are subject to the shorter, immediate-deletion retention period described in Section 3.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request access to your personal information
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Restriction: Request restriction of processing
- Objection: Object to processing of your information
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information provided below.
8. Children's Privacy
Our applications are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, including through the AI Try-On feature, which is restricted to users who meet our minimum age requirement. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and implement appropriate safeguards to protect your information.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in our applications and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our applications after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
11. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us:
12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Photos and face data processed through the AI Try-On feature may qualify as "sensitive personal information" under the CPRA; we limit our use of this data to providing the feature itself, as described in Section 3, and do not sell or share it.
13. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to data portability, the right to erasure, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Facial data derived from a photo may constitute "special category data" under Article 9 GDPR; we process this data only with your explicit consent, given by your affirmative act of using the AI Try-On feature, and solely for the purpose described in Section 3.
14. Biometric Information Laws
Some jurisdictions (for example, the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act, and the Washington Biometric Privacy Act) impose specific requirements on the collection of biometric identifiers. Where the facial/body positioning data transiently derived by the AI Try-On feature is considered a biometric identifier under such laws, we collect and process it only with your consent, use it solely to generate your requested try-on result, never build or store a faceprint or biometric database from it, do not sell or disclose it for commercial purposes, and delete it immediately after processing as described in Section 3. We do not retain biometric identifiers for identification, verification, or any purpose beyond generating the try-on result you requested.
15. App-Specific Disclosures: Dharma Daily
The general sections above describe the range of SwoyeFlabs applications and services, some of which offer features such as AI Try-On, third-party analytics, or crash reporting. Dharma Daily (Android package com.dharma.daily; iOS bundle ID com.dharma.daily) does not include any of those features. This section describes Dharma Daily's actual data practices, which take precedence over the general sections above for that app.
15.1 No data collection
Dharma Daily does not collect, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive user data. It contains no analytics or telemetry, no advertising SDKs or identifiers, no crash-reporting service, no account system, and makes no network requests of any kind to any server operated by us or by a third party.
15.2 Information stored on your device
The app saves the following locally, on your device only, and never uploads it. It is deleted when you uninstall the app or reset your progress from within it:
- the display name you enter during setup
- your answers, streaks, and progress history
- the list of apps you chose to pause, and whether the focus feature is switched on
- your notification and reminder preference
- a flag recording whether a subscription is currently active
15.3 Android — Accessibility permission
Dharma Daily's focus feature, Dharma Guard, uses Android's AccessibilityService so it can pause the apps you personally select until you answer that day's reflection question. This permission is optional; the rest of the app works without it, and you can revoke it at any time in Android Settings.
- What it accesses: only the package name of the app that has just come to the foreground.
- What it cannot access: the service is configured with
canRetrieveWindowContent="false", so it is technically incapable of reading screen contents, text you type, messages, or passwords. - How it is used: the package name is compared, in memory, against the list of apps you selected. If it matches and today's question is unanswered, the app brings its own question screen to the front.
- Retention: the package name is not written to storage, not logged, and not transmitted. It is discarded immediately after the comparison.
15.4 iOS — Screen Time (Family Controls) permission
On iOS, the same focus feature uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (the FamilyControls and ManagedSettings frameworks) to pause apps you personally select until you answer that day's reflection question. This permission is optional; the rest of the app works without it, and you can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings › Screen Time.
- What it accesses: only the app selections you make yourself through Apple's own app picker (
FamilyActivityPicker). Dharma Daily never sees a readable list of your installed apps through this API — Apple represents your selections as opaque tokens. - What it cannot access: Dharma Daily cannot read your messages, what you type, your passwords, or anything displayed on screen. The shield screen shown for paused apps is rendered and enforced by iOS itself, not by Dharma Daily.
- How it is used: your selections are handed to Apple's ManagedSettings framework, which applies the pause (shield) directly at the OS level. Answering today's reflection question in the app removes the shield for the rest of the day.
- Retention: nothing about your app selections or usage is transmitted off your device or stored by us; it is managed entirely within Apple's on-device Screen Time system.
15.5 Subscriptions and payments
Optional premium subscriptions are sold and processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on platform. We never see or receive your payment details, card information, or billing address. The app asks the store only whether an active subscription exists for your account, and stores the yes/no answer on your device.
This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date listed above and applies to all users of SwoyeFlabs applications and services.
